Personally I don't wear much makeup. But when I started wearing makeup at age 13 I started out with just mascara and eventually I wanted to wear everything, like a full face makeup. Now I'm currently 15 and I'm just thinking what was wrong with me back then lol. *insert laughing emoji*
You have to take care of your skin. There are 4 main products you need for your skin care routine. 1. cleanser (Try using an oil free cleanser) 2. toner 3. moisturizer (oil free) 4. scrub / exfoliator.
Please clean your face twice a day. For the cleanser find one that is suitable for your skin type. I personally use Neutrogena oil-free acne wash and Clearasil oil-free hydra-blast face wash. They both work great with my skin.
For moisturizer I use night of olay firming cream and olay complete all day moisturizer spf 15. I use the olay complete all day moisturizer spf 15 in the morning and the nigh of olay firming cream at night. I personally love the brand olay for moisturizers they work great for my skin.
For toner I use witch hazel as a toner. I saw this on pinterest and try this myself and it works great as a toner. I also recommend the Neutrogena acne stress toner, this stuff is amazing! After you finish one bottle of it your skin break out cycle changes. You'll start seeing major results. I had this recommended by a friend.
For scrub/exfoliator I use st. ive's and clean & clear deep action exfoliation scrub. I normally use this once a week and my skin feels so soft and refreshing after doing the scrub. Don't use the scrub everyday or else it dries your skin. Use it once to twice a week.
Please remove your makeup every single day. Trust me it's not worth it to leave it on overnight. Makeup wipes are very handy for this. I use the olay fresh effect and Neutrogena makeup wipes to remove my makeup everyday after I get home.
I love lashes they compliment my eyes. I usually wear waterproof mascara instead of regular formula mascara because I usually get oily around my eye area and it smears my mascara. I read an article saying that waterproof mascara are bad for your eyelashes and it makes them fall out and your eyelash thin. So lately I've ben using castor oil or vitamin e oil on my lashes to make them grow thicker and longer and it works. (If you want me to make a separate post about this just let me know)
When I get spots here and there I would put concealer in those areas and blend. You don't need foundation unless you want color in your skin. But as in a replacement of foundation I use a bb cream as an alternative. Many bb cream has a lot of benefit that actually improves your skin while foundations doesn't.
